Job Summary

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual committed to delivering high-quality care to patients. They must meet orientation and full-time scheduling requirements, show up on time, and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills. Geisinger offers a $1500 sign-on bonus, a $16.25 minimum hiring rate, and up to $3 shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. Additionally, there is up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse.

Job Duties

- Provides patient care within the scope of practice, adhering to the multidisciplinary care plan. - Identifies and documents patient needs, reporting any changes to licensed personnel promptly. - Obtains and maintains specimen integrity, transports specimens accurately, and performs point-of-care testing. - Assists with equipment maintenance and troubleshoots issues. - Serves as a preceptor and mentor for new staff and students. - Manages admissions, transfers, discharges, and deaths, transcribing and processing orders. - Coordinates transportation of patients and supplies, and communicates electronic information. - Assists with medication transport and operates clerical equipment.
