About the role
This position provides direct care to patients and contributes to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
Responsibilities
- Provides personal hygiene care
- Affords assistance with nutritional needs
- Offers comfort care and other assistance
- Appropriately and safely transfers patients
- Takes vital signs and completes recordkeeping
- Recognizes and promptly reports changes in patient condition to the RN
- Maintains a safe, clean environment for patients
Requirements
- Must be able to work 48 hours per 2 weeks
- Every Other Weekend
- Night Shift: 10:00PM - 6:30AM
Qualifications
- BLS certified or able to become certified within 1 month from hire date
- Must meet one of the following requirements:
- Six months of patient care experience
- Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
- Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
- Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry
