Nursing Assistant Class

About the role

Our Nursing Assistant Training Course is designed for individuals who are passionate about pursuing a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Long-Term Care industry. This comprehensive program prepares you to take the State of Oregon Competency Exam.

Responsibilities

• Participate in classroom instruction to build foundational knowledge
• Develop hands-on skills through lab setting simulations
• Complete clinical practice in our facilities, working directly with residents

Schedule

The course runs Monday through Friday for approximately 4 weeks. Classes are offered at Marquis Piedmont and Marquis Tualatin monthly. See class schedules for specific dates and times.

Requirements

• Must be at least 17 years old
• Legal documentation to establish identity and eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Willing to undergo a criminal background check and employment reference check
• Able to lift 40 pounds
• Capable of being on your feet for long periods of time
• Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English

• Professional, attentive, and ready to participate
• Able to dedicate 2-3 hours of studying per night
