Nursing Assistant Class

About the program

Marquis Companies offers a Nursing Assistant Training Course designed for individuals pursuing a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in long-term care. The program provides comprehensive training to prepare students for the State of Oregon Competency Exam.

What you'll do

• Complete classroom instruction to build foundational knowledge
• Participate in lab setting simulations to develop hands-on skills
• Gain clinical practice in Marquis facilities, working directly with residents

Schedule

The course runs Monday through Friday for approximately 4 weeks. Classes are offered at Marquis Mt. Tabor and Marquis Tualatin monthly; see class schedules for specific dates and times.

What we expect from you

• Professional, attentive, and ready to participate
• Able to dedicate 2–3 hours of studying per night
• Capable of lifting 40 pounds
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English

Enrollment requirements

• Must be at least 17 years old
• Legal documentation to establish identity and eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Willing to undergo a criminal background check and employment reference check
