About the role
Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing quality housing and services to seniors in a compassionate, Christian environment. Role: Nursing Assistant (NA) responsible for delivering resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under RN supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide psychosocial support and help with mobility, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
- Support nutritional needs by assisting with meals, snacks, and creating a positive dining experience.
- Document resident interactions, vital signs, and care responses; report changes to nursing staff.
- Perform basic health tasks including collecting specimens and monitoring residents' conditions.
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and participation in wellness and recreational activities.
- Adhere to infection control policies and use Personal Protective Equipment appropriately.
- Provide compassionate care, assist with daily activities, document care, communicate resident needs, and support overall well-being of residents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or long-term care experience preferred.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or in the process of obtaining it.
- Completion of yearly competency testing and ongoing continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually).
- For applicable states, registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
- Valid driver’s license and medically qualified to perform driving duties if required.
