About the role
Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing over 100 years of quality housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment. As a Nursing Assistant (NA) serving as a caregiver in long-term care, you will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
Responsibilities
- Deliver age-appropriate care based on individual care plans, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, and psychosocial support.
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, and range of motion exercises using proper techniques and equipment.
- Support residents during meals, help with snacks, and promote a positive dining experience.
- Document resident interactions, communicate changes in condition, and assist with procedures as needed.
- Collect non-invasive specimens, record vital signs, and provide housekeeping, laundry, and recreational support.
- Participate in departmental activities and maintain required certifications, including CNA certification and continuing education.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or CNA experience preferred.
- CNA certification required or in process within four months.
- Ability to perform essential driving functions if applicable.
- Maintain certifications and adhere to facility policies.
