Nursing Assistant, Certified, Long Term Care (LTC)

About the role

Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment. As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will serve as a caregiver, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
• Record vital signs, collect non-invasive specimens, and monitor residents' conditions.
• Support psychosocial needs, assist with meals, and create a positive dining experience.
• Help with housekeeping, laundry, and participation in wellness and recreational activities.
• Document care interactions, communicate changes to nursing staff, and assist with procedures as needed.
• Follow infection control policies and use Personal Prote Equipment appropriately.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16.
• Required CNA certification or enrollment in a training program for certification within four months.
• Completion of annual competency testing and continuing education credits.
• Ability to work as part of a team, follow safety protocols, and communicate effectively.
• For some roles, valid driver’s license and medical clearance for driving may be required.
