Responsibilities

• Performs tasks as delegated and indicated on the care plan for assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Understands the basic elements of body functioning.
• Understands the physical and emotional changes including those which occur in the death and dying process.
• Delivers age‑appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the patient per care plan.
• Assists patients in daily living activities such as dressing and undressing, bathing and eating.
• Maintains good interpersonal skills, being courteous and caring.
• Knows medical terminology, organizational policies and procedures.
• Performs detailed work correctly, functions under and handles stress.
• Works with the growth and development needs of all client and patient populations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
• Completion of a 75‑hour nurse assistant course is required.
• Must be registered as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and registered in the applicable state's Department of Health.
• Obtains and maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
• Valid driver's license required.

Pay

Salary range: $17.50 – $25.50 per hour.

Schedule

• Shift: 8‑hour day shifts.
• Job schedule: Full time.
• Weekly hours: 40.00.
