Nursing Assistant Certified (CNA) - TEMP
Duties
The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide skilled care to the veterans and their dependents who reside at our facility, such as but not limited to: bathing, dressing, feeding, general hygiene, transferring residents, care of ostomies, colostomy & ileostomy, maintenance of individual range of motion to prevent contractures, recognizing and reporting abnormal signs and symptoms of common conditions/diseases, measuring and recording fluid intake, and assisting the health care team in treatments and observations, along with all aspects of daily living care.
Minimum Qualifications
A current New York Certification as a Nursing Assistant.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a geriatric setting.
Additional Comments
Float position, not designated to a specific unit/neighborhood. Temporary, non-competitive, full-time appointment. Posted salary range ($49,735 - $53,743) includes statutory hiring rate at step 4 and job rate for grade 8, plus a geographic pay differential of $4,000. If applicable, the inconvenience pay program of $575 per year will be paid to employees who work four (4) hours or more between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Hours worked between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on an overtime basis are not included for Inconvenience Pay.
