Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in assisted living. The NA provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a charge nurse. Tasks include assisting with basic health care needs, daily living activities, and providing psychosocial support.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required
• Minimum age of 16
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in assisted living preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
• Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
• Maintains all department specific required certifications
• May be required to drive as part of the job, depending on facility requirements
