Assisted Living Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA

Responsibilities

• Absorb and record vital signs, weights, and patient intake and output.
• Support patients with daily living activities (ADLs), including personal care, mobility, and feeding.
• Prepare patients for therapy and transport them, ensuring their comfort.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, including making beds and responding to call lights.
• Perform skin care treatments and apply simple dressings as permitted by state regulations.
• Report any changes in patient condition, concerns, or complaints to the charge nurse.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and current certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients.
• Completion of a Tuberculin skin test as required by state law.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
• Attendance at a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education programs annually to maintain certification.
