Nursing Aide

Responsibilities

• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living and encourages self-care and independence.
• Escorts residents both within the building and outside, as needed.
• Serves as an escort for residents during meal times and helps with cleanup.
• Aids in the planning and execution of activities for residents on a regular schedule.
• Treats residents with dignity and respect at all times.
• Performs personal hygiene tasks such as giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves.
• Ambulates, turns, and positions patients as needed.
• Provides fresh water and nourishment between meals.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Preferred knowledge and experience in nursing or senior living, home health, or similar fields.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and assist with resident care.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for data management.
