Nursing Admin RN Coordinator
About the role
Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Nursing Admin RN Coordinator for their Nursing Administration department. This position assists the Manager of Patient Care Services and/or Nursing Supervisor in the management of Cottage Call Center and Staffing Office functions.
Responsibilities
- Assign patients on a daily basis to ensure optimum patient care for all units.
- Discuss patient placement needs with each unit that will provide the best possible patient care based on established areas of expertise, scheduled staff and available resources.
- Forecast placement needs for following shifts.
- Identify patient placement problems or issues, begin intervention if necessary, then consult with Manager of Patient Care Services and/or Nursing Supervisor.
- Independently engage and manage pre-transfer screening for all inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with EMTALA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of two years direct patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Pay
Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable.
Schedule
Manager and above positions may participate in Cottage Health’s annual management incentive program.
