Nursery School Associate Teacher

About the role

Nurseries are seeking an experienced Nursery School Associate Teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a proven track record in supporting children’s development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
• Assist teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all students.
• Support children in developing social skills and emotional intelligence through group activities and one-on-one interactions.
• Participate in regular meetings with teachers to discuss student progress and classroom management strategies.
• Collaborate with parents to provide updates on their child’s progress and offer suggestions for home-based learning activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with children ages 2-5.
• Valid New York State teaching certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience with Montessori or Reggio Emilia methodologies is a plus.
• Proficiency in using technology for lesson planning and communication with families.
• Passionate about fostering creativity and curiosity in young learners.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
