Nursery Classroom Teacher

About This Role Franconia Children’s Center is seeking a nurturing, patient, and dependable educator to join our nursery classroom. This position involves caring for infants in a safe, loving, and responsive environment while supporting their early growth and development. What You'll Do Responsibilities include: Providing attentive and nurturing care to each infantFeeding bottles and introducing foods according to each child’s individual scheduleChanging diapers and maintaining accurate feeding, diapering, and sleep recordsFollowing safe-sleep practices and all New Hampshire Child Care Licensing requirementsMaintaining active supervision and responding promptly to infants’ needsPlanning age-appropriate activities, including tummy time, sensory play, music, stories, and outdoor experiencesSupporting infants as they reach physical, social, emotional, and communication milestonesCleaning and sanitizing bottles, toys, equipment, and classroom surfacesCommunicating professionally with families about their child’s day, routines, and developmentWorking collaboratively with co-teachers to maintain a calm, organized, and welcoming classroomFollowing all FCC health, safety, emergency, and classroom procedures The ideal candidate is gentle, reliable, observant, and comfortable caring for infants with different feeding, sleeping, and developmental needs. Previous infant-care experience is preferred, but we are willing to support the right candidate in completing the required training and early childhood education coursework.
