Nursery Caregiver

About the role

We are seeking part-time Assistants to care for children in the Nursery (ages zero to two years) at our classical and Catholic center. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required; we will provide all necessary training.

Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is a national classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Childcare/nursery is provided during these hours.

Responsibilities

• Care for infants and toddlers (ages 0–2) in the Nursery.
• Adhere to RCA’s curriculum and grading guidelines.
• Provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards.
• Complete RCA Safe Child training and pass a background check prior to starting.

Requirements

• Must sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Deep love for and active practice of the Catholic faith, including reception of all sacraments appropriate to your state in life.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, and punctuality.
• Traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Must be available for one mandatory training day (August 6 or 10, 2026, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; no childcare provided, nursing babies welcome).

Qualifications

While not required, the ideal applicant may have experience in:

• Homeschooling or working with homeschool children.
• Ministry in a Catholic parish (e.g., teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes).
• Teaching your own children or in a classical/private school setting.

Schedule

• Mondays and Thursdays, 8:15 AM–3:15 PM.
