Nurse Unit Manager

About the Role

This position involves managing a nursing unit, ensuring high-quality care for geriatric patients while exhibiting strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure accurate patient assessment and development/revision of individualized plans of care.
• Maintain open and ongoing communication with patients and families, encouraging their participation in decision-making.
• Ensure appropriate nursing care is provided.
• Assist with medications and treatments.
• Supervise and coach nurses and other nursing partners.
• Participate in daily and monthly meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current South Carolina Nursing (RN or LPN) license.
• Preferred: 2 years of nursing experience with geriatric patients.
• Exhibits leadership skills.
