Pay Rate: $20.00-$21.00 hourly

People, Incorporated is a human service agency serving the Southcoast community, including the Greater Fall River, New Bedford, and Taunton areas. As a partnership of specialized, integrated programs, we provide unique opportunities to people with life challenges. The Nurse Technician works as a Residential team member with medical-involved individuals in a 24-hour supported home environment located in Swansea, Taunton, and surrounding communities. This position is intended for nursing program students who have successfully completed Foundations or Fundamentals of Nursing and would like to earn experience working in a nursing setting while actively attending an LPN or RN program. Opportunity to learn from other nursing staff on shift as well as earn a future nursing role with our agency after licensing is received.

Schedule

Flexible schedule including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide a structured routine that includes house meetings, individual outings, meal preparation, ADL care, facilitate family visitations, and distribute medication while maintaining human rights at all times.
• Implement Positive Behavior Support and individual programs as identified in the Individual Service Plans.
• Use de-escalation and crisis management techniques as needed to maintain the safety of others.

Requirements

• Active enrollment in an accredited program leading to LPN or RN licensure.
• Successful completion of Fundamentals/Foundations of Nursing.
• Ability to show proof of continued enrollment in an accredited program leading to LPN or RN licensure (unofficial transcripts showing active enrollment and passing grades two weeks after completing semester courses).
• Qualifying criminal background check and driving record.
