Nurse Technician - Infusion - Per Diem

Responsibilities
- Assists with patient flow and rooming activities
- Prepares patient care areas, including bay turnaround between patients
- Performs equipment checks (e.g., wall oxygen, suction, otoscope, ophthalmoscope)
- Obtains and documents vital signs, weight, orthostatic vital signs, and recognizes abnormal parameters
- Performs 12-lead EKGs
- Implements fall prevention strategies, including safe patient mobilization and lift equipment use
- Documents care in the electronic medical record
- Adheres to OSHA safety standards, infection prevention practices, and HIPAA requirements
- Demonstrates therapeutic and professional communication with patients and team members
- Performs courier duties for Pharmacy, as assigned
- Performs additional duties consistent with training, verified competencies, and delegated by the supervising registered nurse
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in a Washington State Board of Nursing approved accredited associate degree (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
- Successful completion of at least two academic quarters that included a clinical component prior to hire
- Current BLS AHA Health Provider Card (or equivalent course, such as by the American Red Cross) and renewal required every two years
- Demonstrates engagement in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Responds effectively to emergency and disaster situations in accordance with organizational policies
- Functions effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment
- Demonstrates strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
- Utilizes telecommunication and electronic systems appropriately
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-and family-centered care
Qualifications

Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is from $28.47, which includes the per diem differential, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This position is a per diem position at our Southlake Union location. The days/hours for this position is variable and could include weekends and evenings.
