Nurse Tech Neuroscience and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
7 South is a 22-bed Progressive Neuroscience unit located within Butterworth Hospital. This unit specializes in the care of stroke and adult epilepsy patients. As an accredited comprehensive stroke center, we have the ability to receive and treat the most complex stroke cases. Additionally, our epilepsy program performs a range of EEG monitoring from routine up to surgical implantation. Although this is a specialized unit, there is still a lot to learn due to the variety of conditions patients can have in addition to their stroke. Teamwork on this unit is known to be exceptional, with members assisting each other to create a welcoming and warm atmosphere. 7 South welcomes new graduates and experienced healthcare professionals alike, offering opportunities to continue learning and growing skills regardless of experience.

About the role
Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider.

- Catheterization
- Acting as a safety attendant for patients
- Ensuring required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days
