Nurse Supervisor (Weekends, Part-Time)

Responsibilities

• Determine the optimal allocation of weekend staff and adjust based on changes in unit acuity.
• Receive/record employee call-offs and replace vacancies as needed.
• Oversee/coordinate patient care on assigned shifts.
• Address/resolve employee, patient and family complaints.
• Auxiliary in survey compliance, quality assurance/performance improvement and staff development duties.
• Maintain oversight of the delivery of clinical care provided to patients.
• Supervise staff and provide guidance and support to better plan work flow in which may include working the unit.
• Auxiliary in risk assessments and investigations of injury.
• Auxiliary in assessing patients who are experiencing acute changes.
• Provide clinical expertise in the management of medical and psychiatric emergencies.
• Provide clinical expertise in medical management, crisis and behavior management techniques.
• Direct staff response to facility emergencies.
• Meet routinely with nursing leadership.

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN license.
• CPR certification.
• Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience caring for adult, children and adolescent populations.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of behavioral health regulations, patient rights standards, and healthcare accreditation requirements (e.g. The Joint Commission, CMS, and applicable state and federal regulations).

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading nursing teams in a psychiatric setting.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and staff development skills.

  $3,000 Sign-On Bonus

  Schedule

  Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
  2nd Shift (9:00 AM – 9:30 PM)
  2nd Shift (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM)
