About the role

Nurse Supervisors (RNs) play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment and leadership at Select Specialty Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and supervise the clinical care being provided.
  • Responsible for all safety, infection control, and quality of care issues while on duty.
  • Aid in performance appraisals, mentoring staff during orientation, and handling disciplinary issues.
  • Manage resources and foster a team-like atmosphere.
  • Promote compliance with educational requirements and a culture of learning.
  • Act as a clinical resource for staff members.
  • Implement the staffing plan for your scheduled shift.
  • Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating rehabilitation goals.
  • Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs.
  • Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
  • Competent in Rapid Response and code events.
  • Teach and counsel patients/families.

Requirements

  • Valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • BLS required at hire.
  • ACLS required prior to completion of orientation.

Qualifications

  • Long-term acute care or subacute experience preferred.
  • EKG assessments and vasoactive drip competency preferred.
  • Charge nurse or leadership experience preferred.

Pay

$58.72 - $78 per hour, with competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends.

Schedule

3 x 12 Hour Shifts per week, with a weekend rotation and rotating holidays.
