Nurse Supervisor - Infusion
About the role
The Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for the administration of Nursing services as assigned under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing. Directs, plans, and coordinates the service activities and staffing performance of professional nursing and agency nursing personnel in rendering quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct and indirect skilled nursing care to patients
- Implementation and management of physician orders related to nursing
- Selects, trains, develops and motivates a highly skilled professional and allied staff
- Affirms that departmental staff complete orientation, maintain clinical competence, perform supervisory visits, participate in continuing education, receive counseling and are evaluated in a timely manner
- Affirms that patient verification, assessment, teaching and the ongoing scheduling of nursing services occur in a timely and appropriate manner
- Affirms that all patient related documentation is accurately completed, submitted and/or filed in a timely manner, according to internal and external regulatory requirements and in support of the billing process
- Participates in planning, decision-making and implementation of all service center activities that affect clinical nursing services and the performance of the multi-disciplinary team
- Secures and maintains all applicable professional certifications, accreditations and employment requirements as required of the nursing staff and department
- Coordination of patient care in conjunction with nurse scheduler and or clinical coordinator
- Affirms all nursing documentation is accounted for and billed in a timely manner
- Promotes efficiency and productivity of nursing dept in conjunction with nurse manager
- Works closely with the Nurse Manager and Operations Manager to assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate clinical and administrative policies, procedures, programs and systems
- Adheres to all policies, procedures and standards of conduct
- Reports to the appropriate management any known or suspected violations of policies, procedures, regulations or standards of conduct
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN, MSN preferred
- Current RN Licensure by the applicable state’s Board of Nursing, in good standing
- Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required
- Valid state issued drivers license with no significant restrictions on that license
- Knowledgeable and have used the following IV access devices: IV lines, accessing ports, and administration of infusion medications
- Able to drive up to 1.5 hour one direction to see patients as needed (we offer mileage reimbursement and hourly rate of pay- even when driving!)
- Minimum 2 years Nursing practice in a related specialty such as home infusion and or specialty infusion, home health, oncology, nutrition support, IV therapy or critical care
- Minimum 2 years Pediatric Nursing experience ideal
- Clinical expertise in IV therapies with monitoring, skill and knowledge of all types of IV lines
- Minimum 1 year management experience, proven ability to manage, train and educate staff on new protocols and existing standard operating procedures
- Ability to work with all levels of employees in a fast-paced clinical environment and manage multiple complex projects
- Knowledge of vascular access devices and infusion therapies
- Proficiency with MS Office
Qualifications

Pay
$90k - $115k
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week, M-F 8:30am-5pm - flexibility required
Must be available to participate in an on-call rotation
Must be knowledgeable and have used the following IV access devices: IV lines, accessing ports, and administration of infusion medications
Must be able to drive up to 1.5 hour one direction to see patients as needed (we offer mileage reimbursement and hourly rate of pay- even when driving!)
Must be licensed as an RN in the state of Colorado
