Nurse Supervisor - House

Employment Type: Full time/36 hours weekly
Shift: Night shift; 7pm-7am
Schedule: Friday night, Saturday night, Monday night
Location: Silver Spring, MD
Responsibilities
- Assures that hospital operations continue and the needs of patients and their families are met in an effective and efficient manner.
- When needed, communicates to the on-call administrative staff to keep them informed of significant occurrences and receive further direction.
- Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
What You Will Need
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor’s in Nursing required; Master's degree in nursing preferred.
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board as a Registered Nurse.
- Requires at least five (5) years’ nursing experience in a hospital that included a variety of direct contact with clinical service, material management, medical staff, and patient admission departments.
- Two (2) years of supervisory/management experience required.
- BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association).
- Advanced computer skills to include data entry and retrieval, including Microsoft specialty products.
- Reads, writes, speaks and comprehends English language.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex and comprehensive information thoroughly and succinctly.
