Job Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• ADN degree.
• BLS certified.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation and Evaluation) to provide and document professional nursing care to patients.
• Documents the medical plan of care, critical pathways, established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work.
• Incorporates principles of statistical analysis, scientific theory, developmental and decision-making skills to achieve better patient outcomes.
• Participates in unit/organizational data collection, analysis, and review as well as process improvement work groups.
• Applies knowledge, interpersonal and leadership skills to improve healthcare delivery.
• Utilizes effective communication to teach patients and families about complying with treatment plans to maintain good health.
• Functions in the role of charge/lead nurse and coordinates and delegates care to other professionals and ancillary personnel.
• Serves as a resource person for other SRH/nursing personnel to resolve work-related issues.

Qualifications

• Eligible to participate in the Clinical Ladder program.
• Obtains NRP certification within the first year of hire and recertifies every 2 years.
• Maintains annual Moderate Sedation competency.
