About the role
The staff nurse is a professional nurse who, with minimal supervision, is responsible for providing nursing care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Independently functioning in the Behavioral Health Staff Nurse role.
- Teach children new emotional and behavioral skills in a fun and interactive way.
- Work hands-on with children of all ages who are struggling with various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, suicide, self-control, and trauma.
- Ensure patients feel cared for and supported, helping them stay safe and learn new coping mechanisms.
Requirements
- Current RN License in the State of Alabama.
- Current BLS Certification.
- National Certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Successfully completed the Behavioral Health unit orientation process.
Skills
- Ability to provide compassionate care to children and families dealing with mental health issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of child psychology and behavior management techniques.

Pay
Salary commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Full-time on the Evening Night Shift, 7p-7a, 12-Hour Shifts.
