Nurse RN Part Time
About the role
Cedarfield is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our team. This position works every other weekend from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM.
Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain continuity of nursing services for residents.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate all nursing services during assigned shifts.
- Supervise, interpret performance, counsel, and direct Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Act as a role model and effective team member fostering growth and harmony among co-workers and peers.
- Committed to enhancing the lives of each resident by providing the highest quality of life possible.
- Receive and carry out physician orders and administer medications and treatments as directed.
- Maintain and revise nursing care plans and service plans for residents.
- Ensure proper functioning of equipment and maintain a safe environment.
- Complete maintenance request forms, record required information in electronic medical records, and complete incident reports.
- Assist nursing assistants with residents' care, including bathing and eating assistance.
- Perform assessments, render first aid, and refer residents to appropriate medical care.
- Create a supportive environment that encourages socialization and rehabilitation.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a diploma or degree.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
- CPR/AED certification.
- Two (2) or more years of nursing experience.
Qualifications
- Intermediate conceptual knowledge of nursing theories, practices, and procedures.
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of common disease processes and treatments.
- Ability to read, write, and speak using the English language.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
- Ability to see, hear, and react appropriately to alarms and notifications.
- Computer knowledge and skills with an aptitude to learn company software.

Schedule

Supervision and Decision Making
Exercised moderate level of guidance and direction. Independent decisions are made based on standard policies and practices. Ability to assess, develop, and carry out resident plans and guide team members. Problem-solving is more complex. Problems deal with individual and specialized situations. May have to collaborate with senior level nurses on some occasions. Ability to recognize and adequately handle difficult problems and scenarios with residents and help supervise team members accordingly.
