Nurse: RN or LPN (Outpatient Clinic)

About the Role

The RN or LPN will work in a mental-health environment, delivering direct clinical nursing services to individuals. This is a Pay-for-Performance position: full-time staff (40 hrs/week) must complete 40 hours of billable services each pay period (pro-rated for part-time or additional duties).

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical nursing assessments, administer injections, provide medication management training, assist with PAP, dispense sample medications, conduct re-assessments, TB tests, labs, urine drug screens, HIV/Hep C testing, and record vitals.
• Complete all required paperwork according to policy and procedure.
• Coordinate treatment with medical staff, primary-care providers, and other agencies (with signed Release of Information).
• Assist and support individuals in crisis using professional judgment and intervention techniques.
• Educate individuals and their support systems on medications, nutrition, health, wellness, mental health, and addictive diseases.
• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment-team meetings to develop comprehensive, recovery-focused service plans.
• Maintain therapeutic professional boundaries with consumers and families; communicate with sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
• Adhere to safety and infection-control guidelines; complete Infection Control reports per policy.
• Maintain the Nursing Office: review expiration dates of supplies/medications, log refrigerator temperatures, and ensure equipment is calibrated and functional.
• Partner with physicians and nurse practitioners to deliver exceptional services.
