Nurse: RN or LPN (Outpatient Clinic)

About the Role

Highland Rivers provides treatment and recovery services to individuals impacted by mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual developmental disabilities. This position involves providing direct clinical nursing services in a mental health environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical nursing services for individuals, including nursing assessments, injections, medication assistance, PAP assistance, sample medications, re-assessments, TB tests, labs, urine drug screens, HIV/Hep C testing, and vitals.
• Completes all necessary paperwork according to policy and procedure.
• Meets Pay for Performance requirements: 40 hours of billable services per pay period for full-time staff (pro-rated for part-time or additional duties).
• Communicates with medical staff and primary care providers (with signed Release of Information) to coordinate treatment and link individuals with needed resources.
• Provides crisis intervention, support, and education on medications, nutrition, health, wellness, mental health, and addictive diseases to individuals and their support systems.
• Participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to develop individualized, recovery-focused service plans.
• Maintains professional boundaries, communicates sensitively and effectively, and adheres to safety and infection control guidelines.
• Manages the Nursing Office per policy, including reviewing expiration dates, maintaining temperature logs, and ensuring equipment/supplies are functional and calibrated.
• Partners with physicians and nurse practitioners to deliver exceptional services for individuals.
