Nurse (RN)-Hospice Care
About the role
Provide direct patient care in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and ambulatory surgery centers. Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor and document patient vital signs and medical history. Assist with procedures such as tube feedings, wound care, and dialysis. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families on disease management and self-care techniques. Utilize electronic medical record systems (such as Epic) to document patient information accurately.

- BLS Certification (Required)

Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to assess patient conditions and make critical decisions in emergency situations (such as in the ER).
- Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail in documenting patient information, including ICD-9 codes for accurate billing.
- Experience in specialized areas such as ophthalmology or ambulatory surgery centers is a plus.
