Nurse Resident- Surgical Acute Care

Position Overview

Position at Palomar Health Nurse Resident cohort will start August 10, 2026. Posting Date: 5/19/2026. Internal candidates must apply by midnight on the Closing Date in order to have bidding rights.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within an assigned unit
• Manage and supervise the related clinical activities
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel
• Utilize professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment
• Adhere to the California Nurse Practice Act, The American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, ANA Bill of Rights for Registered Nurses and the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice for Nurses
• Speak and read English at a level sufficient to perform essential functions
• Knowledge of standard office equipment and personal computer skills
• Windows computer skills including keyboarding, mouse usage, and basic software proficiency

Requirements

• Minimum Education: As required by certification and/or licensure
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or Masters Entry in a School of Nursing approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing
• Minimum Experience: 0 - 6 months in similar work
• Preferred Experience: Not Applicable
• Required Certification: American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider
• Preferred Certification: Not Applicable
• Required License: Current CA RN License
• Preferred License: Not Applicable

Pay

Salary Range: 52.07 - 75.79
