About the role
This is an on-site position requiring 8 hours to be completed during weekdays. A $10k retention bonus is offered.
Responsibilities
- Examine patients with mental disorders and provide therapeutic care suited to their needs
- Diagnose mental disorders and recommend medicines within scope of licensing and qualifications
- Develop health care plans according to established standards of care
- Provide medication reviews and evaluations
- Maintain clinical records on all patients in accordance with confidentiality guidelines and department regulations
- Conduct face-to-face assessments with clients and collaterals as needed
- Provide instruction, guidance, or in-service training to mental health, medical, and therapist staff as appropriate
Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience working with youth and adults diagnosed with mental illness
- Fully licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of New York
- CPR Certification
- Ability to work independently
- National Provider Identification (NPI) issued by the federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
- Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number issued by the United States Department of Justice
- NYS Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement (NYS DOH BNE) registration
- NYS Medicaid Enrollment (for prescribing to NYS Medicaid enrolled clients)
