About the Role

This position is a full-time (40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, no weekends) virtual role within our Women’s Metabolic Health program. The Nurse Practitioner delivers comprehensive, specialized care to women across the lifespan, focusing on the interconnected dimensions of metabolic, mechanical, and mental health. The schedule includes 7 clinical hours per day (Monday–Friday) with 1 administrative hour per day.

Responsibilities

  • Practice under established NP Standard Procedures, consistent with organizational policy and all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct age-appropriate, full-scope assessments, including detailed histories and physical examinations, in alignment with departmental protocols.
  • Perform intake assessments for women at risk or with Overweight or Obesity and/or symptomatic menopause.
  • Provide patient education on obesity as a chronic, multifactorial condition, emphasizing long-term health strategies.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing to promote a healthy lifestyle, including habit change and formation in nutrition, activity, sleep, and stress management.
  • Order diagnostic tests and prescribe medications within scope of practice and patient care protocols.
  • Provide virtual and phone-based patient consultations; collaborate with clinical teammates to ensure high-quality, seamless care.
  • Perform ongoing assessment/data collection focusing on physiological, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive status, as well as patient/family education and advocacy.
  • Consult with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary partners as indicated by patient presentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to support quality outcomes, care consistency, and adherence to clinical pathways.
  • Review medical records for follow-up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
  • Apply safety and risk-management principles, ensuring patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
  • Respond effectively in urgent or emergency situations, following established protocols and documenting appropriately.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care.
  • Demonstrate an exceptional service philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Use clinical technology, EHR systems, and telehealth tools proficiently to document, track, and communicate care.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MS, MSN, or DNP).
  • Board certification in FNP, AGNP, or WHNP.
  • Current, unrestricted New Jersey State Advanced Practice Nurse License, CDS, and DEA.
  • Current enrollment/participation with New Jersey Medical Insurance Payors.
  • MSCP Certification from the Menopause Society preferred or ability to obtain within a stipulated timeframe.
  • 1+ years’ Obesity Medicine experience, including managing GLP-1 medications and education/coaching on lifestyle changes.
  • Virtual practice experience highly preferred.
  • Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity from OMA or TOS/AAPA a plus.
  • Resides in NJ or PA.

Pay

$95,000–$115,000 USD (good-faith estimate; does not include added incentive).
