About the role
We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our Surgical Oncology Team in an inpatient role.
Responsibilities
- Rounding on postoperative and consult patients
- Evaluating and managing complex surgical oncology cases
- Performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Collaborating with surgeons, residents, and multidisciplinary team members
- Ordering tests, interpreting results, and prescribing medications
- Coordinating care transitions and discharge planning
- Assisting in surgeries when needed
- Participating in patient education, research, and team communication
Qualifications
- Current board certification
- DEA registration
- BLS certification
- Graduate degree from an accredited NP/PA program
- Oncology experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply
