About the role

Bayhealth Urology in Milford is a growing practice where you will see general urology and general GYN urology patients. The role requires on-call work that may exceed four times per month and involves seeing your own panel of patients.

Responsibilities

  • Appropriately prescribes pharmaceuticals according to age, chronic medical conditions, allergies, drug interactions, and duration of therapy.
  • Performs routine and specialty physical exams and documents specific age-related preventative health screenings.
  • Educates and counsels patients to promote wellness.
  • Addresses and provides resources for health risk behaviors.
  • Interprets diagnostic tests for patients and provides appropriate referrals or consultations.
  • Performs technical and surgical procedures for patients as necessary.
  • Completes patient discharge planning and education; writes appropriate orders and prescriptions.
  • Provides patient education and counseling to promote wellness.
  • Evaluates patient's progress toward attaining expected outcomes.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of interventions in relation to outcomes.
  • Documents patient's response to interventions.
  • Upholds the professional code of ethics.
  • Keeps all licenses/certifications up to date (including ACLS and PALS, if applicable).
  • Provides agreed upon coverage to care for patients in the appropriate settings (ex. ambulatory office and/or hospital) during business hours and evenings/weekends, as mutually agreed upon and per medical staff bylaws.

Requirements

Required: No experience necessary.

PREFERRED: Three (3) years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner in specific area of practice.

  • Registered Nurse
  • Nurse Practitioner NP - CSR (if Required By Defined Job Duties)

Pay

SALARY RANGE: $143,894.40 - $223,038.40 YEARLY

Full Time 80 Hours (Exempt)
Shift: Days 8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00;
On-Call;
In-Patient Rounds
