Duties

• In accordance with established protocols and in collaboration with a physician, provides clinical assessment and case management services to individuals including constructing and interpreting a medical history, performing a physical assessment, evaluating patient behavior, performing and interpreting selected laboratory tests, identifying problems, and developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Under physician’s direction, does other related work, sick call, foot clinic, screening audiometry and physical ability testing audits.
• Refers patients to physician for consultation and to specialized health resources for treatment but retains responsibility for the clinical management as well as subsequent modification.
• Applies and demonstrates knowledge of correct methods in Therapeutic Strategies and Interventions (TSI).
• Aids in the maintenance of a safe and secure environment through response to physical assaults, escape attempts or other major patient disturbance, and assists in the management of the conduct of the patients.
• The employee is required to keep current with the completion of all required training, including maintaining CPR certification. If you do not have eligibilty you must take the exam.
