Central Valley Doctors Health System and Doctor's Medical Center of Modesto are seeking a dedicated and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Pulmonology practice in Modesto, CA. This is a unique opportunity to cross cover Pulmonology and Cardiovascular services.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • 100% outpatient
  • No call

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and support the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
  • Adhere to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Demonstrate support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Obtain and record client’s health history; perform comprehensive physical assessment (including biological, social, and psychological needs) as part of a total physical examination.
  • Diagnose, treat, and plan appropriate health care for clients as appropriate for specialty; refer clients to physicians and/or outside agencies as required.
  • Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with TPR policy.
  • Fulfill all duties assigned by physician.
  • Report to the attending physician any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment.
  • Participate in patient review conferences and staffing.
  • Assist the physician with Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, and Safety Committee activities.
  • Adhere to the established policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
  • Order and interpret the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.
  • Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures.
  • Conduct health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, enabling the client to make informed choices about health and treatment options.
  • Provide consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory, and clinic assistant staff.
  • Order medications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s-prepared Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current license, certification, or registration to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice, or policy.
  • RNP License.
  • Additional certification(s) per governing board and in accordance with the facility Medical Staff Bylaws.

Pay

$116,480 – $187,200 per year (calculated based on a full-time position). Individual wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
