Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatry - Clinical Neurosciences Center - Part Time Days

About the role

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. This position requires a New York State License with current registration as a registered nurse and state certification as a Nurse Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Affords comprehensive health assessments and initiates and orders therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribes medication regimens and documents findings in the patient's medical record.
• Collaborates with physicians and participates in interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Develops and implements patient care plans based on diagnoses and individual needs.
• Performs patient record reviews and completes required evaluations.
• Supports the mission and goals of the Department of Nursing and the Mount Sinai Health System.

Qualifications

• Licensure: New York State License as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification: Certified Nurse Practitioner through the New York State Department of Education.
• Education: Master's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous progressive experience in the area of clinical practice.
• Additional Requirements: DEA certificate, BLS certification, and specialized certifications as required by specialty.
