Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions
- Provide preventive care and lifestyle-focused patient education
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe therapies, coordinate referrals, and maintain timely EHR documentation
- Precept and mentor medical students, providing instruction, feedback, and clinical performance evaluation
- Participate in research, quality improvement, patient safety, and population health initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians, faculty, researchers, and interprofessional team members
Required Qualifications
- MSN or DNP from an accredited program
- Current Utah APRN/NP license, or eligibility before start date
- National Family Nurse Practitioner certification through AANP or ANCC
- Active DEA registration, or eligibility before start date, and current BLS certification
- Primary care or family medicine experience with strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pediatrics, behavioral health, clinical teaching, research, lifestyle medicine, contemporary EHR systems, or value-based care
Schedule & Location
- Part-time, 0.5 FTE
- Approximately 2–2.5 clinical days per week
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive compensation is offered based on experience and qualifications, prorated to 0.5 FTE
- This position is not eligible for benefits
