About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dedicated healthcare team. The NP will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals struggling with mental health conditions, addiction recovery, and other wellness challenges. This role requires a strong understanding of trauma-informed care, behavioral health, and holistic treatment approaches.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, mental health evaluations, and physical exams.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, including prescribing medications and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Provide holistic and integrative care for individuals dealing with PTSD, addiction, sleep disorders, and anxiety-related conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and preventative care.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals, physicians, and wellness specialists to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to care.
- Perform minor medical procedures as required.
- Maintain accurate and compliant electronic health records (EHR) in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality protocols.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in [State of Practice].
- PMHNP or PMHNP-BC Required.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Adult-Gerontology, Psychiatry/Mental Health, or a related specialty.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in primary care, mental health, or addiction treatment settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, addiction recovery, and behavioral health treatment modalities.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and patient advocacy skills.
