About the role
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality and cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments of pediatric patients with acute and chronic mental illness in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Assess the patient’s psychosocial, cognitive, developmental and medical status and identify functional assets and limitations of both the patient and family system.
- See patients and family members as needed for new and follow-up psychiatric care including medications and psychotherapy.
- Be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs.
Requirements
- If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program AND Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND Active board certification as a NP in Psychiatric-Mental Health.
- If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program AND Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND Active PA board certification.
Qualifications
- All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, day hours. No weekends or on-call coverage. Occasional coverage for consults at American Family Children’s Hospital.
