Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Medical Oncology - Boise, ID - FT
Full-time, clinic-based position within the Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) Cancer Institute, primarily at the Boise Cancer Institute.
About the Role
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) seeks an Oncology Advanced Practice Provider with a focus on oncology and benign hematology, emphasizing a patient-centered approach to outpatient care at the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute. This role provides primary support at the Boise Cancer Institute, collaborating with physicians to deliver high-level independent services. Responsibilities include patient assessment, consultation, follow-up management, triage resolution, handling infusion room complications, laboratory follow-up, and overseeing chemotherapy administration across all program sites within the scope of practice.
Responsibilities
- Assess, consult, and manage follow-up patients.
- Resolve triage issues, including add-on patients and infusion room complications.
- Oversee laboratory follow-up and chemotherapy administration.
- Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Request timely consultation or referral with appropriate physicians or clinics as needed.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) medical license in Oregon and Idaho.
- Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA (and eventual registration with Oregon).
- For Nurse Practitioners: Successful completion of an NP Graduate Program (Master’s Level preferred) and certification from AANP or ANCC.
- For Physician Assistants: Successful completion of a PA Graduate Program (Master’s Level preferred) and NCCPA certification (PA-C).
- Strong medical background with a desire to develop a practice supporting a growing multi-specialty medical group.
- Previous advanced practice provider experience in oncology or internal medicine preferred.

Schedule
- Full-time (1.0 FTE), working 4 days per week in a clinic setting.
- No call responsibilities.
