About the role
The Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital Medicine Nocturnist position is open for Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants to join a growing Hospitalist program in Mooresville, NC. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a supervising physician, submit orders, consults, and cover for calls.
Responsibilities
- Work 7-on/7-off schedule
- Submit orders and consults
- Cover for calls as needed
- Consult with subspecialists as required
- Participate in a stable and low-turnover group
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina
- Experience in hospitalist or similar role
- Knowledge of hospitalist practices and protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Experience in acute care settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
