About the role

We are seeking a Full-Time (40-hour) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Interventional Radiology team at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. This position is based on the main hospital campus and operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.

This role involves collaborative practice with a team of Interventional Radiologists, offering a high degree of autonomy in evaluating and managing patients undergoing image-guided procedures. It is ideal for an experienced, procedure-oriented provider comfortable practicing independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform biopsies, paracenteses, thoracenteses, lumbar punctures, and port insertions.
• Provide peri-procedural care and participate in inpatient consults and rounding.
• Assess and manage patient populations in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and procedural settings.
• Perform complete histories and physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic outcomes.
• Order medications and write prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies.
• Provide high-quality, timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
• Perform bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree as a Physician Assistant (required).
• Current Physician Assistant state license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Interventional Radiology, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Hospital Medicine, or another procedural specialty (strongly preferred).
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing bedside and image-guided procedures.

Pay

Annual pay range: $126,838.40 – $173,867.20 (Grade 7). The final offer will reflect skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other essential factors.

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
