Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant for OBOT Clinic
About the role
Work-Life Balance: This is a part-time position (~32 hours per pay period) offering predictable hours in a structured outpatient clinic setting. No demanding night shifts or unpredictable hospital on-call rotations.
A Collaborative Approach: We combine medical treatment with counseling and behavioral services, giving your patients the holistic support they need to achieve long-term recovery.
Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive psychiatric/medical assessments, collecting history of present illness (HPI), and building individualized recovery treatment plans.
- Guiding patients through their recovery journey, helping them understand their progress, limitations, and unique paths to healing.
- Seamlessly documenting patient progress and collaborating closely with our Clinical Coordinator and Treatment Center Director.
- Empowering patients through health education and supervising safe medical self-administration protocols.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Louisiana.
- Certification: Board-certified through the ANCC or AANP.
- Experience: At least 6 months of experience in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred.
- Core Knowledge: A strong understanding of the disease of addiction, substances of abuse, and clinical signs of detoxification.
- Clearances: Ability to pass a standard drug screen and criminal background check.
