Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant for OBOT Clinic

About the role

AppleGate Recovery is seeking a dedicated, part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our high-volume, collaborative outpatient team in Monroe, Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive psychiatric/medical assessments, collecting history of present illness (HPI), and building individualized recovery treatment plans.
• Guiding patients through their recovery journey, helping them understand their progress, limitations, and unique paths to healing.
• Seamlessly documenting patient progress and collaborating closely with our Clinical Coordinator and Treatment Center Director.
• Empowering patients through health education and supervising safe medical self-administration protocols.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Louisiana.
• Certification: Board-certified through the ANCC or AANP.
• Experience: At least 6 months of experience in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred.
• Core Knowledge: A strong understanding of the disease of addiction, substances of abuse, and clinical signs of detoxification.
• Clearances: Ability to pass a standard drug screen and criminal background check.

Pay

This is a part-time position (~32 hours per pay period) offering predictable hours in a structured outpatient clinic setting.

Schedule

No demanding night shifts or unpredictable hospital on-call rotations.
