Nurse Practitioner - Pelandale Specialty Clinic

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for pediatric gastroenterology patients.
• Collaborate with pediatric gastroenterologists and an interdisciplinary care team to deliver evidence-based, family-centered care.
• Serve as an expert clinician, patient advocate, educator, consultant, and care coordinator for children with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments, develop differential diagnoses, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe treatment within your scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, nutrition, medications, and long-term treatment plans.
• Practice in accordance with California licensure requirements, Valley Children's policies, and approved standardized procedures.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed to support departmental operations.

What We're Looking For

• Required Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current California Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
• National Nurse Practitioner Certification (or ability to obtain within six months of hire)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
• Preferred Experience:
• Experience caring for pediatric gastroenterology patients
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
