About the role

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in our cardiovascular service line, you will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions across our network of hospitals and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations, physical exams, and follow-up visits.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Preferred Experience

• Five or more years of relevant clinical experience in a healthcare setting or specialty practice.
• Heart Failure or Advanced Heart Failure.
• Cardiology or Cardiovascular Medicine.
• Critical Care.
• Electrophysiology.
• Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Morristown Medical Center’s Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute serves as the hub, seamlessly connecting patients from Chilton, Hackettstown, Newton, and Overlook Medical Centers when advanced care is needed. Pediatric cardiology services are available at Goryeb Children’s Hospital on the Morristown campus.
