Family Nurse Practitioner
About the role
Join our growing team as a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at MainStreet Family Care in Oxford, NC. You will deliver patient-focused care to help patients feel better quickly in a fast-paced urgent care environment. Services include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine.
The ideal candidate will lead a small team while working in a high-volume, fast-paced setting. This opportunity is ideal for early-career FNPs, including brand-new graduates. If you haven’t yet taken your boards, that’s okay—we support you through the process.
After completing our on-site HQ orientation and training, you will have several training shifts with existing providers in one of our clinics. Ongoing support includes a complimentary pediatric urgent care course and access to a provider on-call for clinical decision-making as you grow into the role.
This role allows you to utilize your full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages—from babies to geriatric patients. You will diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions, perform minor procedures, interpret EKGs and x-rays, and provide emergency care. This experience will sharpen your skills and enhance your marketability for future opportunities.
As the medical provider in the clinic, you will lead your team and serve as a professional role model for medical assistants. Many providers find this aspect of the role particularly rewarding as they help others advance in their medical careers.
By supporting rural communities with limited access to care, you will contribute to a meaningful mission. Many of our clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants funded by the state, and we assist with the application process.
