About the role

Paugus Bay Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and dependable Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to support our growing outpatient and intensive outpatient programming. This role is ideal for a provider looking for a flexible but consistent schedule while making a meaningful impact in behavioral health and addiction treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out psychiatric evaluations and medication management services for IOP, outpatient, and future PHP clients.
  • Review and sign laboratory orders, including urine drug screening orders.
  • Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care for behavioral health and substance use disorder clients.
  • Schedule and manage your own patient follow-up appointments to support continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, primary care providers, and other members of the treatment team.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case consultations and clinical collaboration meetings as needed.
  • Educate clients on medications, treatment planning, and recovery support using a compassionate, strengths-based approach.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in Nursing is required.
  • An active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New Hampshire is required.
  • A DEA license must be obtained prior to hire.
  • Experience working with adolescents ages 13 and older is preferred.
  • Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is preferred.
  • Experience with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychotropic medications and behavioral health treatment interventions is required.
  • A current CPR certification or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire is required.
  • The ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with the treatment team is necessary.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or substance use disorder treatment settings is preferred.
  • Experience in outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), or partial hospitalization (PHP) environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed and recovery-oriented models of care is preferred.

Pay

Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This position requires a minimum of 10 hours per week, ideally across two consistent 5-hour shifts per week. The schedule may be any weekday Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. This position does not include weekends or on-call responsibilities.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid flexibility may be considered based on operational needs and candidate experience.
  • Services are provided Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
  • No weekend coverage or on-call responsibilities required.
